Buying a house is one of the biggest decisions most people ever make, yet far too often the offer goes in without any real sense of what the property will cost down the line. A dated boiler, single glazing, a roof that's quietly nearing the end of its life, the surprises usually arrive long after the keys do. Leonardo-scan changes that. It's an online tool that turns a handful of photos and videos into clear, made-to-measure advice, so buyers, sellers and estate agents can decide with confidence.
Who is Leonardo Scan?
Leonardo Scan is a smart advisor that fits in your pocket. It reads the condition and energy performance of a property and translates what it sees into practical, prioritised advice, no engineering degree required. Instead of a vague gut feeling about "a bit of work needed," you get a grounded picture of what a home will actually ask of you, in time and in budget.
The right advice at the right moment
Leonardo earns its keep at the three moments that matter most. When you're about to make an offer, it shows you the costs still heading your way, so your bid is ambitious but realistic. When you're arranging a loan, it gives you a clear view of renovation costs, so you walk into the bank knowing exactly what budget you need. And when you're selling a home, it helps you set a credible asking price that builds trust, attracts serious buyers, and keeps the sale moving.
The challenge
Property analysis is complex, technical work, usually buried in thick reports full of jargon and delivered days after you needed them. Our challenge was to make that complexity effortless. Something you can operate with one hand, in the middle of a viewing, that still hands back advice solid enough to base a real decision on. Fast, clear, and trustworthy, with none of the vagueness that normally comes with renovation estimates.
What we've built
We built the Leonardo-scan tool end to end, from the interface in your hand to the infrastructure behind it. Users capture photos and videos during a viewing and upload them per project, together with any relevant documents. The platform then analyses the material and returns a single, clear report:
Renovations: which works genuinely deserve priority now, and which can safely wait, so today's budget and planning stay under control.
Prices: realistic, market-conform cost indications instead of guesswork, so you can plan and budget with confidence.
Subsidies: the grants and incentives you're entitled to, so no financial advantage slips through the cracks.
Energy scan: a clear read on how much energy the home consumes and where the savings are hiding.
Built mobile-first, it works where the decisions are actually made: standing inside the property.
How it works
You capture the property. During the visit, you take photos and videos and upload them to the platform, along with any relevant documents.
Leonardo analyses the material. The platform reviews and interprets everything, project by project.
Leonardo gives advice. You receive a clear report with practical guidance, so you know precisely what you're buying and can move forward with certainty.
Built for buyers and agents alike
Leonardo-scan speaks to two audiences at once. For private buyers, renovators and sellers, it's the difference between hoping and knowing, a fast, honest read on a property before money and emotion take over. For estate agents, it's an objective specialist on call: a way to stay current with renovation costs and building innovations, give sharper advice, and earn extra trust with every client.
A team effort
This project was a true collaboration. Vulpo built the tool in full, designing and developing the entire platform. Snipe-Agency created the public landing page and runs the SEA and social campaigns, while Maro Media takes care of the SEO. Each partner brought unique expertise to the table, combining their strengths to create a product and launch that neither could have achieved alone.
The result
Leonardo-scan is now live. From a quick set of photos to a confident decision: that's the experience we set out to build, and it's exactly what's now in the hands of homebuyers, sellers and agents. Smarter bidding, better choices, and a property hunt with a lot less guesswork.
